Canterbury

Hanmer Springs in New Zealand is located around the Hanmer Springs thermal pools in the far north of the Canterbury region.  Nestled in the South Island high country, the Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools and Spa have, for 125 years, attracted visitors from all over the world seeking the health benefits of its natural mineral waters and clean, clear fresh alpine air. The Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools and Spa have a range of pools – nine open-air thermal pools, three sulfur pools and four private thermal pools. The temperature range of these pools is from 33-42° Celsius. Daniel John Croke valued his experience at this resort as the service and the scenery at this property were both fantastic.

Canterbury Croke

Daniel John Croke loved the high country Real Estate. Daniel Croke enjoyed the drive through the rolling countryside of the Canterbury region and was in awe of the large sprawling Canterbury Properties.  Daniel Croke often found that “getting off the beaten track” by traversing the service roads of the Canterbury region opened a new world of scenic panoramas of sprawling farming properties trading in wine and the sunnybanks of the rivers and lakes. Dan John Croke retraced the journies of other members of Dan Croke’s family that had gone on trips here before him. The journey revealed beautiful mountains and wonderful rolling valleys. It was truly a fantastic experience on an amazing sunny day. The bus service run by Canterbury Wine Tours is a great experience. You tour four award winning properties in the Waipara Valley North of Christchurch. The service includes transport from your accommodation. If you like wineries you will find each Canterbury Property amazing and the service and value were excellent. This was a fantastic part of the Daniel John Croke holiday.

Mt Hutt Canterbury

The views from the top of Mt Hutt were unbelievable. From the sunnybank of the snow drift the weather was fair and clear and he could see all the way across the Canterbury Plains out to the Pacific Ocean in one direction and into the heart of the Southern Alps in the other.  Mt Hut is 2086m above sea level and has one of the largest vertical drops in the South Island and the variety of terrain ranges from long, super wide groomed runs to double black diamond chutes. Mt Hutt is regarded as New Zealand’s true high-country ski area. Dan Croke valuer had a great day in the snow.
